Immobiline™ DryStrip gels
Elektrophorese-Gele Fertiggele
Immobiline™ DryStrip gels (IPG strips) are used for isoelectric focusing (IEF), run as the first dimension of 2-D electrophoresis or as a separate application. IPG strips contain a preformed pH gradient immobilised in precast polyacrylamide gels on a plastic backing. A comprehensive range of overlapping IPG strips covering narrow, medium, and wide pH ranges are available in various strip lengths, and the strips are individually packaged and bar coded for convenient handling and sample tracking.

  • Improved Immobiline™ DryStrip gels provide increased stability, reproducibility, and protein spot definition
  • Better spot definition improves spot quantitation in data analysis
  • Immobiline™ DryStrip gels with matching IPG Buffer gives a high sample loading capacity and improves resolution

Immobiline™ DryStrip pH 3 - 11 NL covers most proteins found in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, while the narrow-range strips can be used when higher resolution is required. The pH gradients at the extreme ends of the pH scale are non linear (NL) to distribute the proteins evenly over the gel length and obtain maximal resolution.

Immobiline™ DryStrip gels are rehydrated with a matching IPG Buffer prior to use. Samples can be included directly in the rehydration solution for efficient loading of dilute samples or for loading larger amounts of protein. Samples can also be loaded after rehydration.

Standards: DIGE approved.

Bestellinformation: Instructions supplied with the gel. Suitable for industrial applications like analytical chemistry and research. For more detailed studies or when using greater protein loads, choose from four new overlapping strips covering the pH 3 to 11 range.
