Human mononuclear cells, Herpes Simplex virus (HSV)
Mononuclear cells used for researching the causes, diagnosis, supportive care and treatment of Herpes simplex Virus 1 and 2 (HSV 1/HSV 2). Human mononuclear cells are isolated from IRB-consented volunteer donors diagnosed with HSV.

  • Cryopreserved in CryoStor® CS10 media

Storage: Either prepare cells for long term storage in liquid nitrogen vapour phase or thaw for use. Storage in liquid phase nitrogen is NOT recommended. Short term storage of cells (less than 2 weeks) at –80°C is acceptable, but should be minimised to ensure maximum stability. Once thawed, samples must be used immediately.

No prescreening is done on fresh products, instead donors are tested on day of collection for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV 1/2.
