LSD1 is a flavin-containing novel nuclear protein having an N-terminal SWIRM domain and a C-terminal FAD-binding motif and an amine oxidase domain. It functions as a transcriptional corepressor and catalyzes the flavin-dependant demethylation of Lys4 of histone3 resulting in the formation of methyl-free lysine and release of formaldehyde. LSD1 has been found to be typically associated with CoREST and histone deacetylases 1 and 4 and participates in the silencing of endogenous neuron-specific genes.
AOF2 antibody can be used in ELISA, Western Blot starting at 1:500 - 1:1000, and immunohistochemistry starting at 5 μg/mL.
