Eukaryotic initiation factor-2 alpha (eIF-2 alpha) kinase 4, a Translational Control type protein kinase, is the mammalian homolog of yeast GCN2. Like its yeast counterpart, human GCN2 is believed to inhibit translation by phosphorylating the initiation factor eIF2alpha chain in response to amino acid starvation.
EImmunofluorescence2AK4 antibody can be used in ELISA starting at 1: 10000, Western Blot starting at 1: 500 - 1: 2000, and immunohistochemistry starting at 1:200.
