CHK1 prevents entry into mitosis when damaged or unligated DNA is detected by phosphorylating cdc25a, cdc25b, and cdc25c. Phosphorylation of cdc25c creates a binding site for protein 14-3-3, which inhibits cdc25c and prevents activation of the cdc2-cyclin b complex.
CHEK1 antibody can be used in ELISA, Western Blot starting at 1:200 - 1:1000, immunohistochemistry starting at 1:200, immunohistochemistry starting at 1:200 - 1:1000, and immunofluorescence starting at 1:200 - 1:1000.
